South Britannia

A vision for a new community at Britannia Beach
Explore

Project Highlights

Tigerbay’s proposed project, subject to Council approval, will include a walkable neighbourhood of 900 market and 150 non-market affordable housing units anchored by a world class surf-park, with a variety of housing opportunities, including rental and affordable housing, tourist accommodation, neighbourhood retail and public amenities, including parks and trails for all to enjoy. This development will also facilitate safe public access to Minaty Bay. Recreational and outdoor sports amenities, both built and natural, will inform the culture of the place, attracting residents and visitors alike to stay, work, and play in Britannia.

A new community independent from Vancouver and Whistler yet just minutes away from both.

Nestled beside the sea, at the base of the mountains, within an hour to an international airport, between two of Canada’s top three tourist destinations, South Britannia could be the most liveable, playable spot in the Lower Mainland.

We looked at the mountains, we looked at the ocean and asked ourselves “What would the perfect day look like for us?” Then we planned it.

A COMPLETE OUTDOOR AND ADVENTURE FOCUSED COMMUNITY

Imagine a community where you can take a stroll on a beach in the morning, enjoy a craft beer after a surf in the afternoon, and then pick up groceries for dinner in the evening.

Modern homes ingrained in nature

At the heart of the community will be a limited number of townhomes and low-rise condos that are designed to blend with the natural landscape.

Coastal beach access

The development of South Britannia enables the revitalization of Minaty Bay as a park for locals and visitors alike to enjoy. This waterfront gem will become one of the few publicly accessible beaches in the Howe Sound.
